I got an AudioCD of a Vinnie at Modern Drummer Fets NJ '89, where He said that DCI has been Calling and Mailing Him request of doing a Video, he said he's been thinking about that..... well that was 1989.... its the year 2004....

Well yeah... I have actually thought about doing a video; and I've been ah...
You know, were talking about that for a couple of years now (audience clapping, cheering) and ah...
Actually I got a lot of ahmmm... kind letters... to at this point they're still kind,
From Rob at DCI, I think that... if I don't start writing back I'm gonna start getting black reets (not sure what he means by that... not sure about my spelling either) on my door… and ah… so were talking about that… and I actually… I haven't really thought about writing a book about 5 years ago, some publishing company mmm… that publishes books wrote me letters and said "hey why don't you write a book", and I actually… I never really know where to start with it you know and ah… I think if the concept just hits me… I'll ah… I might turn around and do it, but you know, there's a wealth of good educational material around on the market and mmm… you know for me I just always… what I did when I was learning, I just picked up bits and pieces of what ever I could and mmm… you know, just everything that was out there… just trying to throw it together more or less… coz there's a lot of guys out there that may not be really known as players, but they do really put a lot of time into formulating these books and they teach really well so ah… you know ah… they got it… got it covered.


the AudioCD is about 40-45min and includes a very long drum solo (i think it was about 25-27 min), then he asks guys from the audience for questions... he explained the concept behind the delay beat... that it was just playing doubles blah blah... and vinnie playing a latin groove of some sort, i dont know and many others... it was very informative actually.

It was Vinnie making a weak "joke" of sorts...if you find a "black wreath" has been placed on your door [as in "Christmas WREATH"], it's probably safe to say that someone is not very happy woth you, or wants to point you out as someone who has displeased someone else, or done something wrong, or aggravated someone else...or "marked"...letting you know that you are soon to be in some "trouble"...something like that, i guess you "get the picture" [img]wink.gif[/img] ....
